Things to do near Weeley Bridge
There are a whole range of things to do near Weeley Bridge Holiday Park, no matter what your interests are, who you're holidaying with or what your budget.
Clacton
Just ten minutes down the road is Clacton-on-Sea with it's lovely sandy beaches. Stroll along the promenade, dip your toes in the sea to cool off in the peak of Summer, or if you're around in mid to late August, you might be able to catch the Clacton Airshow, a great day out for the whole family. Clacton also boasts a Factory Outlet centre, ideal for a bit of me time when you want to grab a bargain or two.
Colchester
The town centre is also great for shopping but being Britain's oldest recorded town means there's a lot of history here. If the weather gets grey and cloudy, head to Colchester Castle, a favourite with kids to learn about this history of the castle and the surrounding area. There's loads of evening entertainment here, with bars and clubs for the adults, or bowling, laser tag and a roller skating rink if it's the family you are keeping busy.
Jimmy's Farm
Famous for being friend's with Jamie Oliver and a TV programme documenting his farm, Jimmy's Farm located just outside of Ipswich and just 12 miles from Weeley Bridge is another great day out for the family. A family day pass (2 adults and 2 children) costs £22, with a range of animal encounters for the family to enjoy. Make sure you also stop by the butterfly house.
